Manifesto

For the harder questions
Plain counsel.
No theatre.
Principles
- 01 Independence. A view that is mine, not the consensus rinsed through me. The reason to bring in an outside advisor is to hear something an inside voice could not say.
- 02 Discretion. What is shared in counsel stays in counsel. No grandstanding, no leaks, no after-the-fact reputational claims on the work.
- 03 Patience with ambiguity. Resisting the urge to resolve a problem before its actual shape is visible. Most of the harder questions cannot be answered in the meeting they were first asked.
- 04 A different frame. Less interested in adding more information to the room and more interested in changing what the room is looking at.
